Walnut Country is a community of 1,062 single family homes in Concord, California. Our community is located at the foothills of Mount Diablo and accross the street from the California State University Extention. Prior to the existance of Walnut Country, the Cowell Cement factory and the town of Cowell existed until 1969. The firehouse is the last building still standing from the town of Cowell today.
