Walnut Country is a community of 1,062 single family homes in Concord, California. Our community is located at the foothills of Mount Diablo and across the street from the California State University East Bay Extention. Prior to the existence of Walnut Country, the Cowell Cement factory and the town of Cowell existed until 1969. The firehouse is the last building still standing from the town of Cowell today.
